A day in Santa Cruz
After finally finding Volks Café – I dropped off Chilipepper for a new windshield and an oil change. Right outside the store I found Chilipepper's lost twin brother - Bono. Separated at birth by a transport ship, it appears Bono spent its entire life in a salt free California environment and was spared the New York salt torture. I looked carefully at the show room condition van and hope that I can get my van to that state some day soon.
I spent the day wandering around Santa Cruz. I expected warmer weather – but was treated to apparently typical weather and froze my ass off. I ended up walking my bike at one point because my head was getting too cold riding. Nice town however.
