Ghosts
Eric and I moved into our house six months ago. You would never know it by how much stuff is still in boxes... ( Hey.... no hurry right? ) :O) We often talk about all the plans we have in the coming years for remodeling and neat things we'd like to do to make the house our home. It is sometimes easy to forget that it used to be someone else's home. But there are still reminders around the house that there was another whole life here that preceded us by a long shot. The previous owner and her husband built this house themselves in 1950 (?) and raised a whole family in it. The owners are gone now..on to the next life, yet the house remains. And here we are - the second life for the house to shelter. And certainly not the last. We often joke about Helen haunting us if we make a wrong move in the remodeling... ( By judging by some of her design choices that i plan to correct... that lady will back for sure.... )
Still sometimes - I get a glimpse of the previous life and begin to wonder what I'll leave behind.

More engine work
Time is running short and so much to do! It has been become a pattern of assembling some part of the engine - only to take it apart again. And so it went with the intake manifold. I wanted to install extra oil temperature and pressure sensors - so I started thinking about only after I installed the water manifold and the intake manifold on top of it. Only then do I realize that the ports I have to access are underneath all of the above. (grumble) So all of it comes off again and then Eric helped me remove some very stubborn port caps. Everything went together again fairly quickly - including a new sensor harness I soldered up.
